WHAT WE DO

Renew ministry was inspired by St. Francis’ call to rebuild the Church. Under his patronage, we seek to rebuild the Church one person / one couple / one organization at a time. During a season of personal uncertainty, St. Francis explored a small church in need of repair in Assisi, Italy called San Damiano. As he knelt down in prayer underneath a large wooden crucifix painted in the Byzantine style, he asked God what He wanted for his life. St. Francis heard the voice of God say, “Francis, go and repair My house which, as you see, is falling into ruin.”  It took St. Francis some time to realize that the Lord was not asking him to physically rebuild the building of San Damiano and other neighboring churches that were in ruin, but to rebuild the faith of the Church, the Body of Christ, by preaching the gospel and serving the Church. Under the direction of the Holy Spirit, Renew seeks to rebuild the Church in the heart of every individual.
